A little more of Nate!

"Can you see me? I am trying to blend in with the couch in my new church duds. Don't forget to check out the open-toed sandal action. You gotta love the bugs on the bottom. Mom just had to have a picture of me in my very first pair of shoes."
"We're going where? A church picnic? Oh, that must be why mom put this silly hat on me!"

"Okay, I really don't know what to think of this thing called 'tummy time', but I am giving it some serious effort this time. I just can't figure out why this blinding flash of light seems to amuse mom and dad."

"There it is again, that blinding flash of light. When I get big enough, I am going to escape to the other room just like our dog, Dexter, does. He must know something that I don't."

First Portrait Session

Nathan had his first portraits taken one day shy of his 1 month birthday on May 12, 2007. He did a great job! The pictures came in a few days ago and I have been trying to find time to get a few of them posted for you to see. He went without clothes and diaper in several of them, and Sam and I are very grateful that there were no surprises coming from the southern region ;-).

Safe and secure in daddy's strong arms!

Lunch with Aunt Traci and Grammy

My mommy and I got out for lunch today. We went to the Atlanta Bread Company and to my surprise we picked up Grammy on the way and Aunt Traci met us there. It was such a treat to get to see both of them plus get out of the house for awhile. They love me so much and just can't quit kissing on me. I think my mommy even caught them in the act. Thanks Grammy and Aunt Traci, I had so much fun seeing you.

Mother's Day - 1 Month Old

Yesterday was such a special day. Not only was it Nate's One Month Birthday, it was my very first Mother's Day. I have always wanted to be a mother, and it has taken a while to get here. I always thought I would start my family in my mid to late 20's. Well, God had another plan because I didn't meet the man of my dreams until I was 28, we wed when I was 30, and here I am at 33 celebrating my first Mother's day. Well, I just have to say the wait was well worth it!! I LOVE MY FAMILY! I have the most caring and loving husband ever, and the cutest and sweetest baby a new mom could ever want. They showered me with gifts and love for my special day. There were three gifts: the movie "Happy Feet" from Nathan, a sweet Willow tree figurine of a mom and son from Sam, and a very nice watch from Sam and Nathan.

One Month Check-Up

Hey everyone, Nate here! I thought I would try out this blog thing that all my friends are doing. I went to see Dr. Webb today for my one month check-up (well, I am actually not a month old until Mother's Day--- my mommy thinks that it is so special that we will both be celebrating something that day!) Mommy says I am growing like a weed. Here are my stats for anyone that is interested:

Birth 8 lbs. 15 oz; 20 inches
2 Weeks 9 lbs 6.5 oz (75%); 21 1/2 inches (75%)
One Month 10 lbs 11.5 oz (75%); 22 3/4 inches (90%)

I am having my first portrait session tomorrow. Hopefully, they can capture all my cuteness on film!! Speaking of that, I have to sign off so that I can get some much needed beauty sleep ;-)! Mom says that we will try and post more pictures soon.

Chillin' @ Home...

Just a few pics of little Nate around the house.

"Chillin' in my crib... check you cats later, this baby stuff is hard work."

All together now, "AHHHHHHHHH..."

Laying in mom's lap... mesmorized by her beauty or working on a "surprise"... you be the judge.
Just over a week old and already a deep thinker about the universe around him...

Here's Nate finding an appetizer before dinner...

Here's the little guy doing what he does best. Check out the cheeks!!

Get Your Guns Up!! Nathan Tyler Wolfe is finally here!

Nathan Tyler Wolfe made his entrance into the world at 2:58 p.m. on April 13, 2007, weighing in at 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 inches in length. His father and I could not be more proud! He is the light of our lives. We would say that he is just perfect, but then again we are a little biased ;-)! He has platinum blonde hair and deep blue eyes.

Here are a few pictures of the handsome fellow.
The future Red Raider!!

The happy family!

Arriving home!

Still Working, Still Waiting...

Well, I am still pregnant and on the job. I guess the doctors were wrong when they started telling me over 2 1/2 weeks ago that I wouldn't make it to my due date. Well, my due date is this Saturday, April 7th, so I guess I still have a few days left to deliver "early". I just don't think that is what they meant when they said I wouldn't go that long. It sure messed with my head. I guess the "Wolfe Pup" likes the environment I am providing, because he sure doesn't seem to be in any hurry to go anywhere. Every morning, my coworkers are surprised to see me and say "You still here?" Yep, I am still here!

Everyone keeps telling me babies are much quieter while they are still in the womb ;-)! However, I can't get comfortable enough to sleep now, so I might as well be getting up to a crying baby! Anyways, the anticipation is fun and the mystery of what he looks like, how long he is, and what he weighs is still alive. Not to mention the fact that everyone is still curious about his name. I know our families are anxious for his arrival. Plus, he has several little friends waiting to meet him: Kennedy, Emerson, Pierce, Luke, Avery and the countless others. He will have some catching up to do!

Hopefully, the next post will be pictures! I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Anticipation!!

Sam and I anxiously await the arrival of our little boy. As I type this, we are less than 2 weeks from our due date. All of my friends that have had a baby in the last few months have not made it to there predicted due date. At my last doctors appointment on Wednesday, March 21, I was already progressing and my doctor didn't think I would go past our due date of April 7th, but she made no predictions as to how soon it could be. People that know me well, know that I am such a planner and that not knowing any specifics as to when he will come is on my mind constantly. Although it is kind of scary, I have enjoyed the mystery of not knowing whether he will be a March or an April baby.

We have kept the name a mystery from everyone! It is not that we have had trouble choosing one, because we have had his name picked out for at least 3 years!! What I wonder is what will he look like? Sam was such a cute little boy and I can't wait to see his features in our son. I am sure that we will be the same biased parents that most people are with their child. I, also, wonder how BIG he will be? This thought kind of scares me since they haven't really been measuring me and making any predictions on his size. A coworker of mine said her niece was due the same day as our son, but she was delivered by C-section this last week weighing in at 11 lbs. and 7 oz. Yikes!! You should see the picture!

Well, I will go to bed tonight wondering if it might be the night?!?! We know that God is in complete control and He has the whole miraculous event in His Hands. He chose life for our son and He will choose the day that he will make his way into this world and his parent's eager arms.

More Shower Blessings...

Sam and I were blessed by showers at both of our jobs and by all of our Heights Baptist Church friends. The generosity bestowed upon us was amazing. Our son is already loved by so many people and he isn't even here yet! Here are a few pictures of the festivities. My coworker, Theresa, made the most spectacular diaper cake. It was stocked full of pacifiers, washcloths, bibs, bottles, outlet plugs, cabinet latches, teethers, lotion, diaper rash ointment, sheet savers, wrist rattles, a comb and brush set, a blanket, and a teddy bear. It had to take hours to make!

Here is a picture of my coworkers that hosted my work shower! Yes, even my boss helped!!

My coworker, Amy, made our son the sweetest quilt with Teddy Bears to go with the theme of his nursery.

My church friends hosted my shower at Paige Rodger's house. They chose a sport's theme!
Thanks again to the hostesses who purchased our Pack-n-Play and diaper bag.

The invitations made by our friend, Sally, even had the same Teddy Bears that are stenciled in the nursery!
