Exciting News!!

I just wanted to share some exciting news with all my friends. My Aunt Kelley came over after round 2 selections for the Dallas Desperados Dancers this past Saturday to babysit me (see pic below--she is very pretty). She had made the first 2 cuts and was in the finals last night in Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan. Unlike the other try-outs, it was a public performance but we weren't able to make it. Anyways, I had to go to bed before we got the news. This morning, when mommy got me up, she told me that Aunt Kelley did it---she made the team! I am so proud of her and can't wait to go to a game to see her dance---what fun!!! It is usually hard to make the team the first year you try-out, but my aunt is awesome!!

Me and my buddy, Pierce!

Here are a few additional pictures of last Friday when I got to play all day with Pierce. His mommy sent them over to my mommy, and I just thought you all would want to see all the fun we had. I can't wait until I get to play with him again.

Kristen Rocks!

Today, I got to go to Miss Kristen's house. She is Pierce's mommy! My grammy had a church conference, so I got to go and hang with 'Master P' all day! He is older than me, so I was paying close attention as he showed me what big boys can do. His dad even joined in the fun once he got done playing golf---I bet he got a hole in one because he is super cool!

Mommy just won't quit saying how great a job they did watching me for the day. It was so great to get to have a play date, and mommy knows that Miss Kristen is great with babies. Just look at Pierce :-)! Speaking of Pierce, mommy kept asking me where he was in the below picture of me playing, and I told her that I wore him out and he had to take a long nap.

I got my first report card! Mommy and Daddy were very proud of me---especially for pooping while I was at their house. It had something to do with not having to change a stinky diaper.

Mommy thought Miss Kristen was super creative. She also helped me trace my feet. I thought it was a game, so I kept moving and kicking, I guess that didn't make it very easy.

5 Months!!!

Whoa! Has it really been 5 months since I was in my mommy's tummy? It was so warm and cozy in there that I didn't want to leave. Come to find out, it is not half bad out here! There are so many interesting things out here to see, smell, taste, touch and hear. Below are 5 glimpses into what I've been up to in my 5th month...

1. Well, it seems that rolling over is all the rage nowadays among my buddies. From all the baby chatter I've heard, it's quite easy and fun to do. Some of my friends are so proficient at it, they can even roll back-over again to their backs. I just keep telling myself one baby step at a time... I mean one baby roll at a time...

2. Below is my first stab at trying cereal. I gotta tell ya, all these awkward 'firsts' captured on camera can be a bit stressful on a baby. As you can see below, the baby adrenaline was pumping in over-drive as my "deer in the headlights" look let mommy and daddy know I was like a jungle cat... anticipating their every move.

Ok, ok... so I need a little more practice with the spoon.

Ok daddy... enough with the camera... let me guess... yet another train wreck to be immortalized on the Wolfe blog... whoopty doo.

3. I am well loved---not only by the human variety but also, the furry variety.

It's quite easy to see... Grandpa digs me!!!

This is my Aunt Traci. Either she is easily impressed or she caught the same goofy disease my mommy and daddy have (daddy has it really bad). This illness seems to affect the person as they are around me. I'm not quite sure what is going on, but I gotta tell you, I love the attention!! I sure hope my teeth are as straight and pearly white as Aunt Traci's when I get a bit older!!

This is my Grandma Sally. Wow, was she excited to see me. I guess the goofy disease, mentioned previously, must run in the family because Grandma Sally displayed many of the same symptoms as mommy and daddy regularly exhibit.

Um, ok, is it just me or is there something severely wrong with this man's face?! Regardless, the texture is quite fascinating. Grandpa Tom, seen below, is so fun and entertaining!! He always knows what to do or say to grab my attention.
Little did I know that during my visit to my Aunt Traci and Uncle Todd's crib that I would lay my baby blues on the most curious and spastic little creature. Actually, the little furry thing, which seemed to be called Maddie, looked very similar to the one we have at our place except it was much smaller and much more friendly. In fact, Maddie loved to lick me in my face. To be honest, the furball moisture was smelly, yet refreshing, and I was relieved to finally not be the only slobbery one in the room!!

4. I am a very happy baby! Daddy was working hard for the below, captured shreek. Oh and don't worry, the baby 'guns' displayed weren't loaded... I haven't been able to get to the gym lately.

5. Yeah... not quite ready for the jumper. It is great for napping though. I hope you enjoyed my 5 month pics!!

Trip to Great-Granny's

Howdy, I thought I'd take a few to let ya'll know how my trip to my great-Granny's home went over Labor Day weekend. It was my first. somewhat lengthy, road trip. My Granny lives in East Texas in a small town called Lindale, so I'm told... I tend to doze off in the car. I had such a great time with my great-Granny, and I love her so very much. Feel free to check out how great my visit really was...
I was so glad to see these two lovely ladies. The young lady on the left is my great-Granny, aka Grandmommie, and the pretty gal on the right is her best buddy, Ms. Rice. I was so excited to see them both!!
Here Ms. Rice is giving me some key advice... as noted by my enthused demeanor. Good stuff!!

In this pic, I thought I'd do Ms. Rice the honor of examining her cuticles. We all know personal hygenie is something to be valued, and let me tell ya, Ms. Rice has some fine looking nails... and colorful too!!!

This little ducky was waiting for me at my Grandmommie's house. I'm not sure whose it was, but it's mine now... as you can see I'm about to "break-it-in." The ducky is about to be well acquainted with the baby chompers.

So much to talk about, so little time. Grandmommie and I are just chatting up a storm here. Man, she tells the best stories!! I hope to be as good a talker as her some day. (I'm not exactly what you would call a wordsmith these days...)

Ok, ok... CHEEEEESE!!!!
Tom-Foolery at it's best!! (Granny's a hoot!!)

Poor Daddy... gotta love him, he tries. Of course, I'm helping him get through the TV instruction manual, so we can fine tune the TV for Granny... someone's gotta help Daddy with the big words!!

Hey, I'm on a roll!! After I got through reading the TV instruction manual to Daddy, I started showing Granny how one of my favorite toys works. She's a quick learner!!

Not exactly sure what the deal was here... Daddy just thought I looked cute... what a sucker!!

Pajamas, hand in mouth and laying on my back means one thing... BEDTIME!! Wow, it was such a great trip... I got to see my Granny, and her best buddy Ms. Rice (she's the best) and made it home in one piece. I cannot wait until I see my great-Granny again...
