1 Year!! July 22, 2010

Hailey is one year old, and we cannot believe it! We started early that day with balloons in her crib to wake her up… not sure what she thought of it…

Next, Mommy and Grammy met-up and took the kiddos to that inescapable mecca whose tractor beam no parent can escape… a.k.a. Chick-Fil-A. I think they really enjoyed it!

Big Brother was having a blast too!

They even splurged and got ice cream… it definitely got Hailey’s attention.

Man, check those nostril flares… she’s a savage, attacking that spoon!

Of course the empty bottle of pills given to Hailey for post-meal entertainment….

Then, some light calorie-burning was in order to walk off lunch.

Next, that night after dinner we all headed to the park for extended Hailey b-day playtime…. definitely a busy, fun-filled day.

Hailey's 1st Push-Up Pop!

There comes a defining time in a baby's life where all the moments must be chronicled and etched into the memoirs of one's existence... like a baby's 1st push-up pop experience. It's difficult to tell who's enjoying it more... Hailey or Mommy...

Big Girl in her car seat!

Someone is now a big girl in her now forward-facing car seat. No more totting around Hailey in the carrier. Now she faces forward like her big bro.

The night before Hailey was busy checking out the box... or perhaps checking the safety features?

But the next day, she seemed to like her new seat...

July 4th with Friends!

It's July 4th and what better way to spend it than with friends? My good buddy Georgia, her family and my family watched fireworks together and had a blast.

Here we are in the wagon ready to head-off to watch the fireworks show.

Last but not least, the quiet ride home...

July 3rd… what a day!

Our July 3rd was just as exciting as our July 4th, full of family and fireworks. We had such a great time. First, we started the day at Grandpa and Grandma’s place.We had to make sure we said hi to Granny first and foremost…she’s the best!

Then Hailey walked over to Granny, and it was nothing but girl talk…

Next, Granny showed her grabber-do-hickey thing to Nate… let’s just say it was difficult to eventually pry it away from him…

Grandma Sally and Grandpa Tom even showed-up… that’s two grandpa’s and two grandma’s in case you lost count.

Then, it was time for the legendary staring contest… not sure who won that one… tough competitors.

Of course Hailey had to get her girl talk in with Aunt Kelley when she showed-up later.

Before we headed home to get naps, dinner and prepare for fireworks, we stopped in and got Nate a haircut… like it? Not sure he did… of course as long as he gets that lollipop, he doesn’t care!
