Say Cheese.....Naughty or Nice?

We took Nate to Portrait Innovations to get Christmas/8 month pictures! Every time we go, I hope and pray that we will get good ones. As it turns out, there are always too many good ones to choose from becuase he seems to be a very photogenic child. Here are two of our favorites and I am including several more in the slide show below. Enjoy!

Perfectly posed and looking all grown up! This was just the second picture taken. Is he good or what?

Fun-loving pose that truly captures "Baby's First Christmas"!

ALL ABOARD!!

This past weekend my mommy & daddy took me to see the trains at NorthPark Mall. Wow, were they neat!! Though I had no idea what these moving contraptions were, I was definitely fascinated with them… or so I heard from mommy and daddy. Grammy and PaPa also went with us. I was so glad they came with us. They had never been to see the trains either. I think we were all impressed!

This was my initial shock at seeing the line just to get into the exhibit… let’s just say it was pretty long.
Though the line was a bit long to get into the exhibit, it did move rather quickly, and there were even these train things to gaze at. Below you can see me with Grammy and then with PaPa. They were trying to get me primed for what I was in for…

Closer and closer we come to the exhibit entrance… the anticipation is killing me…

As you can see below, this is what I saw just before we went into see all the train things… oh and my reaction to finally getting to the trains.

Here Daddy and I are modeling the free conductor’s hat they were handing out. Of course, Daddy put the hat on me. Personally, I was afraid I would look like a little goober in it, but I decided I would humor everyone and not have a meltdown… besides there were all those neat train things to look at!!

Here are a bunch of the neat pictures of the exhibit, and take it from me. The pictures do not do it justice!

Exhilarating!! This baby felt alive after seeing all the movement of the trains, rail cars, bul-dozers, skiers, sky lifts, carnival rides and that was not the half of it… Anyway, Daddy passed me of to PaPa while he located our stroller, and I just could not contain myself… I had to let him know how excited I was and how glad I was that he and Grammy accompanied me, mommy and daddy to see the trains! What fun we had. I cannot wait to see them again next year!!

Nate is Eight (months) and doing Great!!

Nathan is officially eight months old! We can't believe our sweet little baby is growing up so fast. He has been such a healthy and happy boy and we just feel so blessed to be entrusted by God to raise him. He brings such joy to our lives every day! We had a great 1st Thanksgiving and we are anxiously awaiting his 1st Christmas. We look forward to the day that he will truly understand the reason for the season.

We thought we would share 8 interesting facts about Nate at this point in his life:

1. He has two teeth and drools like no tomorrow! He must have a few more getting ready to pop out. He loves having his teeth brushed. It must feel good, plus the mixed berry flavored toothpaste can't hurt!

2. He is an avid football fan! Whether it is the Red Raiders, Cowboys, or any other random game, he just loves chillin' with mom and dad watching America's game.

3. Nate has started refusing his bottle when he gets up from his nap. It seems he has figured out that mom will be there to pick him up soon and he can get his milk straight from the source. This melts my heart and I know that nursing will have to come to an end soon. I am not looking forward to having to give this up---it is such a special time--probably my favorite ;-)! We have managed this far without formula, but I am coming to the realization that my supply won't keep up forever.

4. Nate is fascinated by Dexter, and loves to try to get to him to touch him. Dexter, on the other hand, likes to keep his distance. It is just a matter of time before Nate is too fast for him!

5. Nate loves the remotes. It doesn't matter which one, he is intrigued by all of them. Sometimes, I take the batteries out and just let him play with one. I think he is going to be a channel surfer when he gets older.

6. Nate has become very mobile. He is not quite doing a typical crawl, but he his pretty fast with his own technique. He seems to like to try to be up on all fours. Anyways, this mobility has necessitated the beginning of learning "no-no". He seems to like to go after cords at grammy's house.

7. Nate is still a very good eater. He is usually pretty clean about it because he wants to make sure all of it gets in his belly. However, sometimes he gets pretty messy. He has really started noticing and reaching for our food. I guess it will just be a matter of time and more teeth before he is eating table food.

8. Nate is a very happy baby and he is so much fun to play with. His giggle is so sweet and he laughs whenever we laugh. We just love that sound and can't get enough of it.

1st Santa Visit

Well, today I got to finally meet this Santa Claus I keep hearing mommy and daddy mention. I mean, he cannot be a bad guy with all the presents he brings, so I hear. But it is a bit on the frustrating side to hear all this commotion about someone and not have a clue... give a baby a break!! Below you can see I did finally meet Santa, and it was a great meeting. He actually made time in his busy schedule to go to my mommy's work, so all my mommy's coworkers and their kids got to meet Santa too! Though it wasn't exactly possible to let Santa know what I wanted, I think it went well. See for yourself...

Before we headed to meet Santa, I had to help mommy get some work done. I must say, it was a bit frustrating when I was trying to help only to have mommy and daddy snickering in the background!

Once again we find mommy captivated by my cuteness. Oh and daddy... how about waiting until we're BOTH looking at the camera...?
Daddy and I are chilling out soon after the Santa pic was taken. We were both feeling the love...

I have just been placed on Santa's lap at this point, so if I appear a bit worried... um... it's definitely because I was. I was eyeing mommy who was just out of the picture. I wanted to make sure she didn't get too far, but I managed to fend off a baby breakdown.

Here Santa and I are exchanging meaningful glances as we both realize we'll have an enjoyable, lengthy relationship. I can definitely see why all the kids rave about him. He's terrific!!!!

How 'Bout Them Boys!! 11-1 Baby!!

As you can see my mommy and daddy got me this awesome Tony Romo jersey for the big game against Green Bay this past Thursday. Though the Cowboys are greatness this year, I gotta think sporting the baby jersey may have helped them a bit. Whatever it is helping our team out, I just hope it continues. GO COWBOYS!!

In this 1st pic, we see me with my game face on... that's right, you want some? In the next pic I'm celebratin' as my Boys start doin' what they do best... raining down the TD's!!

Givin' props to my man...

After Favre went out with an injury, the Packers decided to make it a close game... as you can see from my anxious glare on the left. But finally our boys pulled out a win as mommy and I watch in relief... 4 games to go!!

Turkey Day Pics

In order to cram in 3 different Thanksgiving meals, we had
to start early. So we headed over to Grammy and PaPa's
place a week before the actual Turkey Day. Below, you can
see how I go about entertaining mommy and PaPa. The below
left pic shows me, PaPa and my cousins Sydney (left) and
McKenna (right). To the right you will see me and my Aunt
Traci. She loves to cuddle and knows exactly how to find my tickle
spots. I had such a great time at Grammy and PaPa's.
Mommy even fed me my fruit and cereal in front of everyone.
I'm not sure what was so entertaining, but everyone seemed
to gather around to see me make a mess. But I do have to say
I definitely enjoyed being the center of attention... I'm already
looking forward to next year's feast!

Our 1st stop of Thanksgiving Day was at my Grandma Sally
and Grandpa Tom's. We had a blast there and ate too much
as I've heard one is supposed to do. In the top left pic we see
my Grandma Sally, mommy and Aunt Kelley showing me my
new toy that Grandma and Grandpa gave me. All I know is
they are brightly colored and make noise... need I say more?
To the right my Aunt Kelley is being impressed by my baby
talk... for lack of a better term. The only obstacle is swinging
them around without hitting myself in the face... of which
seemed to be quite amusing to the spectators in the room!
The bottom left pic shows me playing with Grandma and
Grandpa and the bottom left shows me and Grandpa Tom.
As you can see we often have deep, meaningful discussions
pondering life's great mysteries.

Our last stop of the night was at my Grandpa's abode. I had
a blast there as well. In the top 2 pictures below, you can see
I am playing around with my Uncle Craig and singing a
duet with mommy. She probably will not necessarily like
the photo of us singing, but personally I think it captures
the essence of the moment. The bottom two pictures show
me and my Grandpa as well as my Great-Granny and me.
I was in chill mode with Grandpa as can be seen with my
favorite 2 fingers in my mouth. Great-Granny and I had a
really great time together. She had this really shiny
necklace on that I could not resist. Here I was trying to
charm her before I made another pass at trying to steal
her precious, shiny treat.

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!!
Well in the traditional sense of giving thanks, the Wolfe Pack thought we would collectively name a few things for which we are extremely grateful. First, there is the obvious… a healthy, much anticipated Wolfe pup that came into the world around 7 months ago. The Lord has since blessed us with a healthy little one that continues to amuse and amaze us daily. Kim and I have also been blessed with superior health this past year, and we pray it continues through this cold and flu season. There are so many other things to list from the freedoms we enjoy daily to those that risk their lives to ensure that they are protected. One final blessing I want to mention is our family as well as our church family that are always there when needed. We are truly blessed by all of our friends that the Lord has provided. In closing, I pray that the Wolfe household never forgets how blessed we truly are through His grace and how lucky we are to be living in the best nation on the planet. Oh and since, I could not submit a posting without a picture, below are 2 of my most dear blessings… God is Great!!!

Number TWO!!

For all those jumping to conclusions, "no"we are not already expecting baby #2. Nate had his second tooth appear today. So, now he has two bottom teeth. Fortunately for me, he seems to have already learned not to bite me while nursing. I brace myself though, for I never know if he will strike again. Try as we may, we can't seem to get a postable picture of his new pearly whites. Either his tongue is in the way or the glare on the camera covers them, so I gave up. Instead, here are a few pictures especially for daddy who just loves having a son to wear camouflage. The Cabela's overalls and booties were courtesy of his coworker. Thanks Debbie.

Not pictures, again!Hi mommy!
Oh, hi daddy, is that you behind that silver thing?!

My 1st Halloween

Below are some glimpses into my first Halloween. I’m not sure what the big deal is about this quasi-holiday, but that might be because I’m still too tiny to eat candy.

Ok, did you hear me say I want my picture taken? Last time I checked, I cannot talk yet!!

YOU WITH THE CAMERA… I mean it... I’m about 2 seconds from a meltdown.

Rats… mommy is great at distracting me… the plush pumpkin toy gets me every time… probably because it’s so tasty!!

After morning play time, I decided it was time to head to a nearby pumpkin patch…

Yeah, momma… that’s a good pumpkin, but I’m kinda sold on this one…

Ok, who shrunk my pumpkin?! Does this look like the face of a happy camper?!?!

One last photo opp before we take off… oh wait, hey mom there’s the perfect pumpkin…

Later that evening, we stopped at Grammy and Papa’s house. They have some great toys there. Oh yeah… mom and dad just had to dress me up…

Here I am with Papa. I was trying to help him out, for I don’t think he is up to date on his baby talk.

Watch out folks… lion on the prowl…

Before heading home for the night, I stopped by and said hi to my best bud Beau. He’s a bit younger than I am, but he’s growing like crazy! He’s gonna be a big guy like his daddy. Check out his cool crib. We even managed to get a photo with our daddies. It’s great having good friends and spend time with them… a perfect end to my 1st Halloween.
