Who Needs Just One Christmas...?

First off, there was Christmas with my Grandpa Wolfe, Great-Grandma Wolfe, and my aunt Kelley. We decided that it would be easier to do a Christmas Eve brunch rather than try to squeeze another gathering in an already packed Christmas Day schedule. We went to the Original Pancake House in Plano… YUMMY… well, at least that is what it looked like. All I know is that the table became extremely quiet when the food arrived!! Below are some of the precious moments..

Oh, great! Guess who’s gonna be the entertainment while we wait for our food to arrive…?

Well, he did it again. Daddy found a way to bring out the true Nate. The teddy bear-reindeer combo plush does it every time!!

Mommy even got into the action…

Here’s everyone!! Dang… that’s my bad side!!

After we finished brunch, we headed back to the Wolfe crib in Murphy. As you can see, the highlight of the exchange was the below, fancy pirate ship. Thanks Grandpa Wolfe!! I had so much fun with all the other Wolfe’s!!

Wait, what…? Aw, come-on Mommy, I barely unwrapped it… take the picture quick!!

Daddy, have you ever seen anything so beautiful in your life? (Mommy doesn’t count.)

Random picture… very funny daddy…

More pirate ship action!!

Me and Grandpa Wolfe…

Me and Aunt Kelley…

Me and my Great-Granny!!

Later that evening, we ventured to my Grandma Sally and Grandpa Tom’s. Below is a glimpse into the crazy-fun that followed…

Shortly after we arrived, the baby hand-offs began. By the time I ended up in my great-Aunt Cathie’s arms, I had a proof of handling right there on my left cheek if you are able to make it out in the below picture…

Like my Santa shirt? In the next few days, I would find out just how great he really is!!

Here’s me and Grandma Sally… I think my Grandpa Tom was distracting me at the time of the photo…

Speaking of Grandpa Tom, below he is… hey, where did he go? I just saw him a minute ago…?!

Some tender moments of me and Mommy…

Mommy was having trouble opening some presents, so I had to lend a helping baby hand…

After a fun-filled outing at my Grandma Sally and Grandpa Tom’s, it was home for the night. We had to rest-up because there were still 2 more Christmas’s ahead of us!! The next day was Christmas Day and we headed to my Aunt Traci and Uncle Todd’s place somewhere called McKinney.

Hmmm… which present should I open first. (Oh, that’s my Aunt Traci in the picture with me. She always knows how to make me laugh.)

Here I am with Aunt Traci and my cousin Sydney. Here, I was performing my routine dental check-up… everything looked fine.

Ok, here I am going for a shiny, green thing on the present… not sure what it is but it looks fascinating… soon I would learn that my curiosity was turned against me!!

Ha, Ha… very funny. What a bunch of jokers! Ok, ya’ll can take it off now…

…Really…kindly remove the shiny, green thing…

Darn those funny distractions…

Ok, Ok… seriously, now can we remove the shiny, green thing…?!

Here I am discovering (and breaking-in) the new, cool plastic toys my Aunt Traci and Uncle Todd bought for me… they’re super neat!!

Me and Papa after all the presents were unwrapped…

As you can see, I received a new ride… like it? I sure do. I got off to a wild start, but I got the hand of it eventually. You gotta keep your eye on me because I whiz by pretty quick… as you can see daddy could barely keep me in the picture once I got a goin’!!

And to put an important emphasis on this great Christmas, we celebrated Jesus’s birthday in style!! Daddy even gave me an arial view of the birthday cookie… I even managed to not do any drool-droppin’ on the food!!

Lastly, we headed home that night for a final, intimate Christmas at home. But first, here are a few pictures the night before in our preparation for Santa’s arrival… as you can see I was pretty pumped about my first Santa experience…

Stockings hung… ready for action…

What a plentiful Christmas bounty Santa left us….

Headin’ for the goodies…

Here’s me and mommy opening my stacking blocks… a key purchase…

… And we all knew this would happen…

Which one should I open next, daddy?

…the Ball Popper it is…

Thanks to everyone for such a great Christmas. I had such a great time and look forward to many more of them… and thank you most of all Jesus!!!

Say Cheese.....Naughty or Nice?

We took Nate to Portrait Innovations to get Christmas/8 month pictures! Every time we go, I hope and pray that we will get good ones. As it turns out, there are always too many good ones to choose from becuase he seems to be a very photogenic child. Here are two of our favorites and I am including several more in the slide show below. Enjoy!

Perfectly posed and looking all grown up! This was just the second picture taken. Is he good or what?

Fun-loving pose that truly captures "Baby's First Christmas"!

ALL ABOARD!!

This past weekend my mommy & daddy took me to see the trains at NorthPark Mall. Wow, were they neat!! Though I had no idea what these moving contraptions were, I was definitely fascinated with them… or so I heard from mommy and daddy. Grammy and PaPa also went with us. I was so glad they came with us. They had never been to see the trains either. I think we were all impressed!

This was my initial shock at seeing the line just to get into the exhibit… let’s just say it was pretty long.
Though the line was a bit long to get into the exhibit, it did move rather quickly, and there were even these train things to gaze at. Below you can see me with Grammy and then with PaPa. They were trying to get me primed for what I was in for…

Closer and closer we come to the exhibit entrance… the anticipation is killing me…

As you can see below, this is what I saw just before we went into see all the train things… oh and my reaction to finally getting to the trains.

Here Daddy and I are modeling the free conductor’s hat they were handing out. Of course, Daddy put the hat on me. Personally, I was afraid I would look like a little goober in it, but I decided I would humor everyone and not have a meltdown… besides there were all those neat train things to look at!!

Here are a bunch of the neat pictures of the exhibit, and take it from me. The pictures do not do it justice!

Exhilarating!! This baby felt alive after seeing all the movement of the trains, rail cars, bul-dozers, skiers, sky lifts, carnival rides and that was not the half of it… Anyway, Daddy passed me of to PaPa while he located our stroller, and I just could not contain myself… I had to let him know how excited I was and how glad I was that he and Grammy accompanied me, mommy and daddy to see the trains! What fun we had. I cannot wait to see them again next year!!

Nate is Eight (months) and doing Great!!

Nathan is officially eight months old! We can't believe our sweet little baby is growing up so fast. He has been such a healthy and happy boy and we just feel so blessed to be entrusted by God to raise him. He brings such joy to our lives every day! We had a great 1st Thanksgiving and we are anxiously awaiting his 1st Christmas. We look forward to the day that he will truly understand the reason for the season.

We thought we would share 8 interesting facts about Nate at this point in his life:

1. He has two teeth and drools like no tomorrow! He must have a few more getting ready to pop out. He loves having his teeth brushed. It must feel good, plus the mixed berry flavored toothpaste can't hurt!

2. He is an avid football fan! Whether it is the Red Raiders, Cowboys, or any other random game, he just loves chillin' with mom and dad watching America's game.

3. Nate has started refusing his bottle when he gets up from his nap. It seems he has figured out that mom will be there to pick him up soon and he can get his milk straight from the source. This melts my heart and I know that nursing will have to come to an end soon. I am not looking forward to having to give this up---it is such a special time--probably my favorite ;-)! We have managed this far without formula, but I am coming to the realization that my supply won't keep up forever.

4. Nate is fascinated by Dexter, and loves to try to get to him to touch him. Dexter, on the other hand, likes to keep his distance. It is just a matter of time before Nate is too fast for him!

5. Nate loves the remotes. It doesn't matter which one, he is intrigued by all of them. Sometimes, I take the batteries out and just let him play with one. I think he is going to be a channel surfer when he gets older.

6. Nate has become very mobile. He is not quite doing a typical crawl, but he his pretty fast with his own technique. He seems to like to try to be up on all fours. Anyways, this mobility has necessitated the beginning of learning "no-no". He seems to like to go after cords at grammy's house.

7. Nate is still a very good eater. He is usually pretty clean about it because he wants to make sure all of it gets in his belly. However, sometimes he gets pretty messy. He has really started noticing and reaching for our food. I guess it will just be a matter of time and more teeth before he is eating table food.

8. Nate is a very happy baby and he is so much fun to play with. His giggle is so sweet and he laughs whenever we laugh. We just love that sound and can't get enough of it.

1st Santa Visit

Well, today I got to finally meet this Santa Claus I keep hearing mommy and daddy mention. I mean, he cannot be a bad guy with all the presents he brings, so I hear. But it is a bit on the frustrating side to hear all this commotion about someone and not have a clue... give a baby a break!! Below you can see I did finally meet Santa, and it was a great meeting. He actually made time in his busy schedule to go to my mommy's work, so all my mommy's coworkers and their kids got to meet Santa too! Though it wasn't exactly possible to let Santa know what I wanted, I think it went well. See for yourself...

Before we headed to meet Santa, I had to help mommy get some work done. I must say, it was a bit frustrating when I was trying to help only to have mommy and daddy snickering in the background!

Once again we find mommy captivated by my cuteness. Oh and daddy... how about waiting until we're BOTH looking at the camera...?
Daddy and I are chilling out soon after the Santa pic was taken. We were both feeling the love...

I have just been placed on Santa's lap at this point, so if I appear a bit worried... um... it's definitely because I was. I was eyeing mommy who was just out of the picture. I wanted to make sure she didn't get too far, but I managed to fend off a baby breakdown.

Here Santa and I are exchanging meaningful glances as we both realize we'll have an enjoyable, lengthy relationship. I can definitely see why all the kids rave about him. He's terrific!!!!

How 'Bout Them Boys!! 11-1 Baby!!

As you can see my mommy and daddy got me this awesome Tony Romo jersey for the big game against Green Bay this past Thursday. Though the Cowboys are greatness this year, I gotta think sporting the baby jersey may have helped them a bit. Whatever it is helping our team out, I just hope it continues. GO COWBOYS!!

In this 1st pic, we see me with my game face on... that's right, you want some? In the next pic I'm celebratin' as my Boys start doin' what they do best... raining down the TD's!!

Givin' props to my man...

After Favre went out with an injury, the Packers decided to make it a close game... as you can see from my anxious glare on the left. But finally our boys pulled out a win as mommy and I watch in relief... 4 games to go!!
