Surprise, I have my first.....

TOOTH!! As of last Thursday, October 25th, all my teething and drooling has finally paid off. I now have one pearly white lower tooth. I always hide it with my tongue, so mommy and daddy have yet to get a picture.

The breakthrough of this tooth finally clued mommy in as to why I was not myself at the Fall Festival on Wednesday. I did not smile for anyone because I was just quietly enduring the pain of teething. Mommy checked for a tooth that night, but nothing. She checked again on Thursday night, and surprise---a tooth. We had to call and tell Grammy! She was glad to have an explanation for the fever I had one morning earlier in the week. Soon after, while nursing, I showed mommy that my tooth was fully functional. OUCH!

Sorry, no pictures. I just wanted to share my new accomplishment!

Fall Festival

These pics show the Wolfe Pack at the Fall Festival last Wednesday held at our church. It's basically a celebration where we all enjoy food, fellowship and a bunch of candy... well everyone but us babies. As you can see, we had a great time, and I got to see a bunch of my friends.

Here we are rollin’ in from the parkin’ lot… ready to get to all the action.

One of my first friends to run into was Noah and Reagan. In this shot, Noah is enjoying some candy goodness… I never got a chance to ask where he got it.

Next, we ran upon the Horner men. That’s pappa Horner in the middle flanked by his two super kids on each side… man, I wish I had a cape!!

Here’s my buddy Luke… rockin’ the dog costume.

This is the newest member of the Tredemeyer gang… she’s a cutie!

Man, how lucky can one guy get… to have 2 pretty ladies battling it out for yours truly. Actually, I think they were looking for their mommies, but hey, I’m sure not complaining!!

Here I am getting a helping hand from my homey Pierce in his flashy fireman’s uniform.

Before leaving we saw Logan in his big boy lion outfit. I hope I can grow that big one day…

I cannot wait until I am bigger… then I’ll be able to partake in all the games, bounce houses and candy consumption… I guess there’s always next year.

Trick or Treat?

Trick--as of last Tuesday, I have a new trick! I can sit up on my own. I haven't totally mastered my new trick, but see for yourselves in the pictures below. I think I am doing a pretty good job!
The first four are from my very first day of sitting up - Tuesday, October 23rd at Grammy's house. The last one was from Saturday, October 27th watching the Tech game with mommy and daddy. I think Tech must have been winning at the time of the picture; otherwise, I would have had a frown on my face.

When I grow up, I want to be a Christian!!

Mommy and daddy always tell me how blessed they are to have grown up in Christian homes. Well, apparentely, I am equally blessed. On Sunday, October 14, 2007, mommy and daddy publicly committed to God to spiritually train and educate me and to surround me with Christian influence. Our church, family, and friends all committed to lift us up in prayer.

It was such a fun day. All our family and friends were there to support us. We had lunch, cake and presents at home afterward but I was worn out from all the festivities and needed a nap. Mommy and daddy enjoyed the day and graciously unwrapped my gifts for me.

Mommy and daddy say they will do their best to tell me all about Jesus and His love for me. We read my Bible at night and pray as a family. Grammy takes me to prayer at her church every Thursday. So, I think I am on a good start to being a Christian when I grow up.

6 month check-up, stats and pictures

Last monday, I had my 6 month check up with Dr. Webb. I was in such a good mood when Grammy and I met mommy at the doctor's office. Mommy was so happy to see me in the middle of her work day! By the end of it, I was tired and my legs were hurting :-(! Mommy let the nurse poke me 4 times. She said something about not only getting my 6 month shots but also getting my first round of flu shot and that I would get another one in 30 days. Lucky for her, I don't really know what that means. The nurse thought I would want to spit out the oral medicine, but I thought it was great and sucked down every last drop! Anyways, the Dr. said I was growing good and am healthy! Yeah, me!! There was some confusion over the calibration of the scale, so I am somewhere between 17 and 18 lbs (55th percentile) and 27 inches in length (75th percentile). My head is 17 1/4 inches (50th percentile). Mommy says it is time to start my veggies, so I am sure those numbers will keep going up!

I am including some random pictures from this past month. I thought you might enjoy seeing what all I have been up to.
Holding my bottle!!
Admiring my Papa during a Tech Win!!
Check out those big blue eyes!!
Having a great time!!
Figuring it all out!!
I love these rings and my foot, too!!

1/2 way there!!

Well, I am officially 1/2 way to a year old! Yesterday, grammy and mommy decided it was time for more pictures. So, we decided to head back to Portrait Innovations. Since, I am getting dedicated this Sunday, mommy wanted a picture of me in my new fancy duds! Pretty uncomfortable if you ask me, but I humored them!

What a sweet expression!

Look at me, I'm a big boy all dressed up!

This is my best attempt at sitting up on my own. I have to prop myself up for now. They did some shading on the picture and mom tried to duplicate it in paint. Nice try, mommy, better luck next time ;-)!! Anyways, you get the idea. They just didn't want this "white boy's" skin fading into the white background :-)!

They also brought along this furry costume. I wasn't quite sure what it was, but they said it was my Halloween costume. I think mommy is stuck on lions after seeing the Lion King production. I was very tired and ready for a "cat" nap at this point, but they still got a picture. Once they started looking at my pictures on the Big Screen, it didn't matter how tired I was---that screen fascinates me!

Don't I make a cute Lion!

Here are a few things I have been up to in the last month:

1. I can now roll from tummy to back and not just from back to tummy! This has opened up a whole new world of fun.

2. I now get to eat Rice Cereal. This is a welcomed addition since up till now, my diet has strictly consisted of Breast Milk.

3. When Grammy gives me a bottle, I hold it all by myself. I am becoming very self sufficient!

4. I got to stay with Miss Kristen and Pierce for a whole day. What fun! I can't wait to do it again.

5. My aunt Kelley came to babysit me while mom and dad went to a couple's shower. She's super pretty! She now works for the Cowboys and dances for the Desperados---we are hoping we will get some tickets ;-)!!

6. I was the youngest witness to my Grandma Sally's wedding. My new friend, Jenna, was a close second but she is a year older than me. She will be a big sister in about 6 months. I can't wait until I am a big brother---well, I am glad it is just me for now. Congratulations Grandma Sally and Grandpa Tom, I love you!

7. Miss Sally (about to be a new mommy) and Mr. Eric came to play with me, while mom and dad celebrated their Anniversary. I can't wait to meet my new friend!

8. I am very close to sitting up on my own and crawling. It could be any day now! Watch out mom and dad!

Married 4 Years!

Sam and I celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary this month. We enjoyed an evening at the State Fair of Texas and The Lion King Production. First, we had to pertake of some 'Fair Food' and then we were lucky to have FRONT ROW tickets to the show. It was an amazing show! I would say Timon was my favorite character, but there were so many wonderful costumes and actors. The young Simba and Nala were only 10 years old and did a great job. This may be one of the only musicals I will get Sam to go to, but he really did enjoy it. Besides, everyone loved the movie when it came out.

Thanks to Eric and Sally Loyd for coming to our house to watch after Nate and get him to bed. I was relieved that Sally didn't go into labor while we were out. It should be any day now that Nate will have a new little friend ;-)!! We are so excited to find out if it is a little boy or a little girl.
